Overview
ASC-WiFi is the wireless network for all personal devices on campus, for devices with a browser you can connect to ASC-WiFi and log in with your username and password. For a wired connection, or devices without an easily usable browser (smart devices and certain consoles) please follow the Registering Devices guide https://alfredstate.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/277/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=10737
Windows (11)
- Click the connections "globe" in the bottom right of your screen (if you are already connected to WiFi, it will show WiFi bars instead)

- Click "ASC-WiFi" from the network list

- Check "Connect Automatically" if you want it to always try to connect when available, then click "Connect"

- You should get a pop-up saying "Action needed", click on that, (if you did not get the pop up, open a browser and Google something to be redirected)

- Enter your Alfred State username and password into the login page that appears (IMPORTANT: Typing your full e-mail will return a generic error message, only type the part before @alfredstate.edu)

- Then check the "I accept the terms of use" box, and click "Log In"

- If your login was successful you should see the Alfred State homepage, if you get an error message please review the troubleshooting section below

MacOS (Tahoe)
- Click the apple logo in the top left

- Click "System Settings"

- Click "Network" in the left hand menu

- Click "Wi-Fi" on the Network page

- Scroll down to "Other Networks", locate "ASC-WiFi", and click the three dots in a circle next to it

- Click "Rotating" next to "Private Wi-Fi Address" and change it from Rotating to "Fixed" or "Off" (if you skip this step, every single time you connect to the Network you need to register the device again)

- Click "OK" to confirm

- Locate "ASC-WiFi" again, hover over it, then click "Connect"

- Enter your Alfred State username and password into the login page that appears (IMPORTANT: Typing your full e-mail will return a generic error message, only type the part before @alfredstate.edu)

- Then check the "I accept the terms of use" box, and click "Log In"

- If your login was successful you should see the Alfred State homepage, if you get an error message please review the troubleshooting section below

Troubleshooting
"Authentication Failed" - Indicates the username does not exist (almost always, this occurs when you type your e-mail instead of your username)

"AcceptSecurityContext error" - Indicates you typed a valid username, but the password was not entered correctly
