Overview
This service page is for requesting a license renewal or upgrade for software which has been purchased in the past. To request this service, please click the "Request Software Renewal" button on this page.
Common Requests
- The license of a software I use often is expiring and I want to have it renewed before it quits working
- The license of a software I use often has expired and I have to have it renewed to be able to use it again
- My department has a perpetual license for a software that is often used and would like to upgrade to a newer version
What Happens Next?
- Requester or Technology Services representative will request a quote from the vendor
- Any changes or new developments in the software's Terms and Conditions, and any other pertaining information will be reviewed by the appropriate committees and departments
- A copy of the Terms and Conditions may have to be requested from the vendor of the software or service, if it's not easily available online
- A copy of the VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) will be requested from the vendor
- If you already have the VPAT, you can submit it by clicking this link.
- If the vendor cannot provide a VPAT, you will have to fill out an exemption form and it will have to be approved.
- Any unfavorable terms maybe negotiated with the vendor
- Spending justification paperwork may have to be filed
- If approved, the purchasing process will be started and may take weeks
- Once it is complete, the vendor will either renew/upgrade your account or send us a license key, which a technician will either forward to the requester or stop by and enter it into the requested computer or device
