New Software Request

Overview

Request new software to be used by Faculty, Staff, or Students.  All software that is installed on campus owned equipment must be approved.    Software requested can be used as part of academic coursework, projects, or professional services.

Please submit as early as possible.  This process takes time for everyone to approve and do the research and planning.  

How to Request?

Faculty or Staff member submits a new software request form using the "Request New Software" Button on the upper right.

  • Accessibility Approval (EIT Form)
  • Legal and Procurement
  • Security
  • IT

What is reviewed?

IT:

  • Software Compatibility
  • How secure software is and safeguards needed
  • Work flow and integration of software
  • Similar software already employed?

Accessibility

  • EIT Form Submission for accessibility of Software
    • Found on Accessibility Services Portal page (link)
    • Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) Submission
    • EIT Exception Form may need to be submitted after initial EIT review
  • Accessibility needs to be re evaluated every year during renewal (resubmit EIT form)
